The Cortland County Sheriff Department says Bradley Rice, 26, was riding his 1996 Yamaha motorcycle south on Page Green Road in the Town of Virgil when he slid across the shoulder of the road and struck a signpost and the guiderail.

The Sheriff says Rice was treated at the scene by TLC Ambulance, Cortlandville and Virgil Fire Departments, and was also airlifted to University Hospital by Mercy Flight. His medical condition is unknown at this time.

Rice was charged with D.W.I., 1st Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Violation of Conditional License, Operating Out of Class, Speed Not Reasonable, and Crossing Hazardous Markings.

The Sheriff is still investigating at this time, and anyone with information regarding the investigation is asked to contact Cortland County Sheriff Department at 607-753-3311.
