New mosquito pool tests positive for West Nile Virus in Oswego County

CENTRAL SQUARE -- Health officials continue to warn people about the presence of West Nile Virus in Central New York.

A new mosquito pool has tested positive for the illness in Oswego County.

This time its was inside the village of Central Square.

The news coming days after the county health department announced that a child from the City of Oswego came down with the illness.

Several mosquito pools have tested positive throughout CNY.

Health officials want people to stay vigilant outside at dusk and dawn when the bugs are most active.

Cover your skin and use bug spray if you have to stay outside.

So far there are no plans for aerial spraying in Central New York.
