SYRACUSE -- The man who was accused of trying to force a Fayetteville woman into the trunk of her own car in March was sentenced in Onondaga County Court on Monday.

22-year-old Gregory Gottfried, of Minoa, was sentenced to 6 months in jail and 10 years probation.

Gottfried was not charged for trying to force the woman into her trunk, was charged with attempting to sexually abuse the woman outside of her home after he allegedly followed her home from Wegmans in DeWitt.

Gottfried accepted a pre-indictment deal and pleaded guilty to attempted sexual abuse.
