UTICA -- A Utica man denied money to buy drugs takes out his anger on home appliances and a car.
Utica Police say they responded to a home in the1400 block of Conkling Avenue for a domestic dispute around 8:15 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Police say a woman told them that her husband, 57-year-old Leonard Quiles, wanted $50 to buy drugs. When she told him no, he allegedly threatened to smash a chair into the television.
The woman says that when she refused to give Quiles the money, he threw a fit smashing a glass table, her two telephones, an electric oven, a coffee pot and chairs.
The woman says she left the house and got into a car to leave. As she was backing out, Quiles threw a chair at her car, which cracked the windshield. She told police he also started smashing the hood and fender with the car, causing a number of dents.
Quiles was arrested and charged with felony and misdemeanor criminal mischief.
