SYRACUSE (AP) -- A federal grand jury has indicted three people from central and northern New York on charges of marijuana trafficking.
U.S. Attorney Richard Hartunian announced Thursday that 51-year-old Luman Paro of Syracuse and 41-year-old Amos Conners and 42-year-old Melissa Brown of Hogansburg were charged with possession of more than 220 pounds of marijuana.
If convicted, they face a mandatory prison term of five to 40 years and up to a $5 million fine.
The U.S. Attorney's office was unable to determine if the three have lawyers yet.
