HARFORD -- Two people are facing a list of charges after allegedly breaking into a Town of Harford home to steal scrap metal.

Police say the burglaries happened along State Route 221 during a period of days.

According to investigators, 48-year-old Donald Stewart from Marathon and 32-year-old Erica Brown from Lapeer stole a list of items including a dishwasher, hot water heater, tire rims, oil burners and other pieces of metal.

Investigators charged both suspects with Burglary, Conspiracy and Petit Larceny. Brown was also charged with child endangerment for allegedly leaving her two children home alone at the time of the burglaries.

Both suspects were arraigned in Town of Lapeer Court and taken to the Cortland County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 insurance bond.
