If you're in the market for a sprawling former jail complex, the state is hoping you'll bid on the closed Camp Georgetown in Madison County. The Albany Times Union  reports the State Office Of General Services is auctioning off the former prison along with a used state police cruiser, a stump grinder, a pickup truck and more.

The auction will happen Tuesday, September 11 at the Utica State Office Building, Conference Room A, 207 Genesee Street, Utica, at noon. The state is requesting an opening bid of no less than $390,000.

Camp Georgetown was a minimum security prison with capacity for 262 non-violent offenders. When it closed it only housed abuot 100, with 85 workers and an annual cost to taxpayers of $6.5 million.
