PHOENIX -- A Phoenix couple was arrested after their marijuana growing operation and a pair of nunchucks were discovered during a fire investigation.

Police arrested Steven Hart, 36, and Shannon Hart, 31, both of 492 County Route 6, following an investigation into a fire.

Police say a marijuana growing operation was discovered in the basement of the home and a pair of chukka sticks, also known as nunchucks, was found upstairs.

Police say there was reportedly no one home at the time of the fire, but the home is occupied by a child under the age of 17.

Steven and Shannon Hart were both released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Schroeppel Court on September 12.

Steven and Shannon Hart were both charged with the unlawful growing of cannabis, criminal possession of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Investigation into the fire is ongoing,
