Shooting near Syracuse elementary school leaves one man injured

SYRACUSE -- A shooting injured a Syracuse man Monday night.

Police say it happened along the 100 block of Truth Terrace near Dr. King Magnet Elementary School.

29-year-old Jerry Benton was hit in the back, but is expected to recover from his injuries.

Detectives say multiple shots were fired, but there is no suspect information right now.

Anyone with information about what happened is being asked to contact the Syracuse Police Department at 442-5222.
