MONTEZUMA -- Four Black Angus beef cows are reportedly missing from a farm in the Town of Montezuma.

Cayuga County Sheriff David Gould says four Black Angus beef cows have been reported missing from a farm on Denman Road in the Town of Montezuma.

The owner told deputies he realized the cows were missing after counting his stock. He says they disappeared sometime in the past three weeks.

The owner says the cows are valued at about $1500.00 each.

Deputies say it’s unknown if the cows escaped or if they were stolen. The owner believes they were stolen since they have not returned to the herd.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Timothy Axton at (315) 253-1132.
