Syracuse Police looking for suspect in Key Bank robbery on South Warren Street

SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police are investigating a Bank Robbery at the Key Bank at 201 South Warren Street.

It happened around 8:55 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

Police say the suspect is a white male, about 40 to 50-years-old, and over six feet tall.

Police say he was wearing an orange Syracuse sweatshirt and black baseball hat that were both found near the bank. He was also wearing blue jeans and was carrying a dark colored backpack with a Syracuse University emblem.

Police say the suspect approached a teller and passed a note demanding money and threatening to use a weapon. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect ran from the bank. He ran down Washington Street towards Montgomery Street.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Syracuse Police at 315-442-5222.
