SYRACUSE --

A Syracuse man was arrested for shooting a gun in the parking lot of a bar last weekend.

Deputies arrested Ramon Ortiz, 30, for allegedly firing a handgun multiple times in the parking lot of Bourbon Street Bar, on Old Liverpool Road, on Sunday, September 2.

Deputies say they responded to the bar to investigate shots fired and interviewed witnesses who identified Ortiz as the suspect. Ortiz left the bar before officers arrived.

No injuries were reported.

Deputies say Ortiz was arrested at his Syracuse home Thursday night.

Ortiz is charged with reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned in the Town of Salina Court and held on $50,000 cash or bond.

He is scheduled to appear in court on September 12.
