SYRACUSE (AP) -- Maybe the Moodys' son should take up tennis.
Ashley Moody, a Syracuse native and lifelong fan of the Syracuse University basketball team, is expecting a boy later this month. Small problem: Her husband Shawn, who is from Hallstead, Pennsylvania, roots for Syracuse's Big East rival, the University of Connecticut Huskies.
So, they came up with a compromise.
Shawn gave in on the college hoops and in return, gets to raise his boy as a fan of baseball's Boston Red Sox and the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles.
Ashley can dress her son in Syracuse orange from November through April but then has to shelve the Atlanta Braves cap and Miami Dolphins jersey.
No word yet on a hockey team.
