MANLIUS (AP) -- Authorities have charged a 23-year-old Syracuse man after police say his car struck and injured two people in a crosswalk.

Police in Manlius tell local media outlets that Sean Clark was driving in the village just east of Syracuse Tuesday night when he struck a 76-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman who were crossing the street.

Police say the man and woman were taken to hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Clark was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. It couldn't immediately be determined if he had a lawyer.
