SYRACUSE -- Destiny USA hosted the Central New York Volunteer Fair Tuesday afternoon.
More than 50 non-profit and volunteer organizations set up tables inside the mall to advertise available opportunities. Some of the groups there included Vera House, the Central New York Food Bank, the American Red Cross and Meals on Wheels.
"I think a lot of people want to volunteer, " Assemblyman Bill Magnarelli from the 120th District says. "They would like to become involved, but they just don't know how to do it. So what easier way than to say come on down to the mall, take a look at everything and sign up for what you'd like."
This was the third year in a row the event was held at Destiny.
