SYRACUSE -- Interstate I-690 Eastbound will be shutdown at the Peat Street bridge this weekend. The repairs complement the work done on I-690 westbound last weekend.

The Department of Transportation says the work will take place around-the-clock over the weekend. The DOT expects the bridge to be re-open at noon on Monday.

I-690 Eastbound will be shutdown between Midler Avenue and Teall Avenue. Eastbound traffic will be detoured to exit at Teall Avenue (Exit 14) to Erie Boulevard and return to I-690 at Thompson Road (Exit 16).

The on-ramps to eastbound I-690 will be closed at McBride Street, Teall Avenue, and Midler Avenue.

The on-ramp from northbound I-81 to eastbound I-690 will also be closed. Traffic will be detoured to exit onto Almond Street, proceed north, turn right onto Erie Boulevard and return to I-690 at Thompson Road.
