Case similar to last week's arrest

State Police say Neal Hart was identifying himself as Ben Smith on Facebook as he attempted to lure a teen. They're asking others who may have been contacted to contact Troopers at 593-2112  / NY State Police

State Police have arrested a Fulton man who they say used Facebook to lure a 14 year old boy.

Investigators say 31 year old Neal Hart, from West Fifth Street was identifying himself as 'Ben Smith'  was arrested on Friday afternoon in Granby where he was allegedly meeting the teen.

The actual charges against Hart include:
Attempted Criminal Sex Act 3rd degree (E Felony)
Attempted Diseminating Indecent Material to a Minor (A Misdemeanor)
Tampering with Physical Evidence (E Felony

State Police ask that anyone who may know of others being solicited by 'Ben Smith' get in touch at 598-2112, as the investigation continues.

State Police made a similar arrest last week, also involving an arranged meeting in Granby, of a different Fulton man.  Read our story on that case.
