SYRACUSE -- A Syracuse man was stabbed after a fight broke out at Acropolis Pizza on Marshall Street at 2:07 a.m. on Saturday.

Syracuse Police say a fight broke out in the doorway of the pizza shop, and Randy Carter, 31, of Syracuse, was stabbed in the right side of the chest. Carter walked-in to Upstate University Hospital, and his injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

Syracuse University Public Safety issued an alert to SU students, faculty, staff and neighbors saying that no students were involved in the incident.

Carter and the witnesses would not provide any suspect information, and the investigation is on going.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Syracuse Police at 442-5222.
