SYRACUSE --

Interstate I-690 Eastbound is expected to reopen Monday night at 6:00 pm.

I-690 Eastbound was shutdown at the Peat Street bridge on Friday for weekend construction.

The Department of Transportation initially estimated that the bridge would re-open at noon on Monday.

The DOT now reports that the bridge will re-open by Monday at 6:00pm.

Until the I-690 Eastbound reopens, onramps at McBride Street, Teall Avenue, and Midler Avenue will remain closed. The on-ramp from northbound I-81 to eastbound I-690 will also remain closed.
