Dropoff points all over Central NY, 10am - 2pm

It is Drug Take-Back Day, with dropoff points all over Central New York for old prescriptions and expired over the counter medicines as well.

The federal  Drug Enforcement Agency coordinates the effort, aimed at getting dangerous drugs off the street, and also getting them disposed of properly (flushing down a toilet can put harmful pollutants in drinking water!).

You can go to the DEA website or call 800  882-9539   for locations near you.

The Oneida Nation extended the dropoff effort, starting on Friday.  Read the related story.
