HERKIMER (AP) -- Authorities are expected to release their latest findings in the investigation into the fatal shooting of a central New York school teacher at an Adirondack motel in late August.

The New York State Police announce Tuesday morning that investigators and Herkimer County District Attorney Jeff Carpenter will hold a news conference at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday to discuss the Aug. 25 shooting death of 30-year-old Catherine Koestner of Utica.

Officials say she was shot once in the head early that morning while staying at the Forge Motel in the village of Old Forge, 75 miles northeast of Syracuse. State police said Koestner's boyfriend was listed as a witness. No one has been charged in the shooting.

Koestner was a math teacher at Proctor High School in Utica.
