All peanut butter made by Sunland Inc. is on hold in New York schools and schools across the nation.

The directive comes from the United States Department of Agriculture. It's asking all schools not to serve peanut butter and to put any stock they may have on hold until further notice.

This comes after a widespread recall, linked to at least 35 salmonella illnesses in 19 states.

The USDA directive doesn't affect peanut butter made by American, Severn or Barrios. Only the Sunland products are affected.
