CICERO -- Deputies are investigating a robbery that occurred at a bank in the Town of Cicero on Wednesday afternoon, according to Onondaga Count Sheriff Kevin E. Walsh.

At around 3:41p.m., both the Cicero Police and Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the robbery, which was reported at the Community Bank on 5968 Route 31. A white male, who claimed that he was armed with a handgun, demanded money.  He took an undisclosed amount of cash and immediately left the bank.

Detectives from the Sherriff’s Criminal Investigation Division report that nobody was hurt in the incident.

The suspect, a white male, is believed to be in his 20’s and is about 5’ 8” or 5’9” tall and weighs around 175 pounds.  He has short, dark colored hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sherriff’s at (315) 435-3081 or by email at sherifftips@ongov.net.
