NEW HARTFORD -- Utica Police believe a suspect who robbed a New Hartford bank may also have been involved in a bank robbery in Utica last month.

New Hartford Police were called to the Bank of America at 50 Genesee Street around 3:00pm on October 3 for a reported robbery.

Police say the suspect entered the bank and passed the teller a note demanding money. He left the bank shortly after with money from the bank. He was last seen walking west on Genesee Street towards Route 5.

The suspect is described by police as a black male, about 6’2" tall with a thin mustache, and thin build. He was wearing a light blue striped shirt, blue pants and a blue ivy style hat.

Utica Police believe the same suspect may have been involved in the Adirondack Bank robbery in Utica on August 20.

Police are asking anyone with information on these crimes to call New Hartford police or the Utica Police at 223-3510. All calls may be kept confidential.
