Oswego man arrested on synthetic drug charges

SCRIBA -- An Oswego man was arrested for possession of synthetic drugs.

Deputies say they arrested Brian W. Schultz, 32, during an investigation into a suspicious car on Hayfly Road in the Town of Scriba.

Officers found on Schultz, and in his car, of two pipes containing marijuana residue, a syringe, a gravity knife, and a small container of "Tranquility," a synthetic drug.

Schultz is charged with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of a synthetic drug.

Schultz was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear before Town of Scriba Court on November 1.
