SYRACUSE -- If the leaves turning color and falling to the ground weren't enough of a reminder that the holiday season is quickly approaching, now the City of Syracuse has begun it's search for the tree that will light up Clinton Square.

The city is looking for a Norway spruce that has to be a minimum of 55 feet tall.  It must be in a front yard, away from power lines and near a main access road so that crews can remove it as easily as possible.

Do you have, or know of, a tree that fits the bill? Contact Steve Harris in the City of Syracuse Parks and Recreation Department at (315) 473-4330 by Friday.

The annual  "Home For The Holidays" tree lighting ceremony will take place on Friday, November 23.
