LERAY (AP) -- Authorities say 12 students have suffered minor injuries when their school bus was rear-ended by another vehicle in northern New York.
Jefferson County sheriff’s deputies say that the Indian River Central School bus had stopped at a red light when it was hit from behind by a truck at around 7 am in the town of LeRay, near Fort Drum.
School officials say the bus was carrying sixth, seventh and eight graders.
Officials also say most of the injuries were minor neck pain and bruises.
The students were taken to Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown to be checked out.
The bus driver wasn’t injured.
