SYRACUSE -- The three local Congressional candidates from the 24th district - Ann Marie Buerkle, Dan Maffei and Ursula Rozum - appeared together today at the ACTS Public Action Meeting.

Members of the community gathered at Henniger High School to ask the candidates about issues like food stamps, preschool programs, and raising the minimum wage.

"It's important to hear what their issues are," said Congresswoman Ann Marie Buerkle.

'They want to know that their elected officials are listening to them," said former Congressman Dan Maffei. "Not just talking, but listening to them, and to see how this community wants to be together."

It's a very diverse organization of community across Syracuse, so I'm here to be accountable to them," said Green Party candidate Ursula Rozum.
