BELMONT, NC -- Police in Belmont, North Carolina are asking for help from the public in locating Elizabeth Estelle Stonger, a 2003 graduate of Cicero-North Syracuse High School.

Belmont Police say Stonger is from Lowell, near Charlotte N.C., and is a graduate of C-NS High School.

Stonger is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall and 180 pounds with red hair and hazel eyes. She goes by the name Liz.

Police say she was last seen at the Wal-Mart in Belmont NC. They believe Stonger may be in the Blue Ridge Mountains and say special attention should be given to the Marion/McDowell county area.

Police say Stonger may be driving a faded burgundy 1998 Chevy Lumina with North Carolina registration ABC-6609. It has a "Happy Bunny" sticker on the fuel door and a stick figure family sticker on the back wind shield resembling a woman and child skeleton.

Anyone with information on Elizabeth Stonger’s whereabouts is asked to call the Belmont Police Department at 704-825-3792.
