Families sheltered by Red Cross
Two fires, each in a two-family home, kept firefighters busy going into the weekend.
In Fulton, fire was reported at a home at 115 North 6th Street just before 9:45 Friday night. Everyone got out safely, and the Red Cross provided shelter to the two displaced families.
In Brewerton, volunteers from both Onondaga and Oswego Counties were called to a home that had been on fire earlier. The house at Brewerton Road and Bennet Street rekindled about 10:15 on Friday night. The families there were already being cared for by the Red Cross. Cause is under investigation.
