Wind and bitter cold rain are main impact of Sandy

OSWEGO COUNTY -- With a forecast of possible 15 foot waves on Lake Ontario, the wind and spray from the lake are proving to be the headlines from Oswego County. In the Rochester area there are mandatory evacuations in place for an estimated 2,000 homes near the lakeshore.

CNYcentral's Katie Corrado spent Monday afternoon and evening along the shoreline. She reported, "The big story here is the waves for sure, but it is also this bitter cold rain which just pelts you."
