Syracuse man pleads guilty to manslaughter in Tipp Hill arson case

SYRACUSE -- A Syracuse man accused of setting numerous fires in the Tipperary Hill area over the summer pleaded guilty to manslaughter and arson in Onondaga County Court Tuesday morning.

32-year-old Shayne Davis is accused of setting a series of fires in Tipperary Hill. A fire he allegedly set to a home on Cayuga Street in June killed 90-year-old Frederick Brown.

Sentencing is scheduled for November 27.
