SYRACUSE -- Two men were injured when a car crashed into the automobile detailing shop they were working in Tuesday afternoon.

Police say a car crashed into a building at the intersection of West Genesee Street and Van Rensselaer Street. Police say a 2010 Nissan four door sedan was traveling north on Van Rensselaer when it drove off the road and hit an aluminum building.

27 year old Tommy Kondovski of North Syracuse was identified as the driver of the Nissan. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital for a precautionary medical evaluation.

A 32 year old man and a 77 year old man were inside detailing a vehicle inside the building at the time of the crash. They were both taken to Upstate Hospital with minor injuries.

Kondovski is being charged with a misdemeanor of driving while impaired by drugs and moving from the lane unsafely.
