GREIG, LEWIS COUNTY -- A Lewis County teenager is accused of injuring a deputy while being taken into custody.

19-year-old Brandon Kirch is charged with harassment and resisting arrest.

Lewis County Sheriff's deputies were called to a domestic dispute early Wednesday morning between Kirch and his mother at 5892 Greig Road in the Town of Greig.

When they got there, deputies say Kirch got angry and grabbed a deputy by his shirt, ripping the tie off the deputy's uniform. While trying to get Kirch into custody, deputies say he continued to fight, digging his nails into the back of a deputy's neck, causing a minor injury.

Kirch was arraigned in the Town of Greig Court and sent to the Lewis County Jail on $250 cash bail or $500 bond.
