State police investigate home invasion in Sylvan Beach

SYLVAN BEACH -- State police in Sylvan Beach are investigating a home invasion involving four men dressed in "scream" Halloween masks.

The incident happened at about 5:20 p.m. at 308 19th Ave., police said.

According to police the suspects entered a home and assaulted the homeowner. The homeowner was able to run for help and was taken to Oneida City Hospital for evaluation, with non-life threatening injuries. The suspects fled on foot.

Anyone with information is asked to call the State Police.
