BINGHAMTON (AP) -- Police in Binghamton say they're investigating an apparent-murder suicide at a home in the city.
Police Chief Joseph Zikuski tells local media outlets that officers were called to the home around 3:15 p.m. Thursday after a relative of a woman found dead in the house called 911. Zikuski says the relative arrived at the house and found a man's body in the doorway.
He says officers found the woman's body inside the home, along with a note apparently left by the man that indicated the deaths were a murder-suicide.
Police haven't released details on the relationship between the man and the woman. Their names haven't been released.
