Syracuse Police investigate Northside Market robbery

SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police are asking for the public's help in indentifying a man who robbed Northside Market on Sunday morning.
This latest armed robbery comes after Seneca Liquors was robbed on November 2 by two men who displayed handguns.
Police say a black male pointed a silver handgun at a casher at Northside Market at around 1:18 Sunday morning. He requested money and cigarettes, while repeatedly pointing the gun at the cashier's face.
Police say they have some clues that might make the man easier to identify. In the surveillance video above, there is a clear view of the suspect's face. Also, the suspect is wearing a jacket with a big dog on the back, something the police believe makes him more identifiable.
Bassam Saad, the cashier and owner of Northside Market the last five years, says he saw the suspect was nervous, which made him afraid he was going to shoot.
"He had the gun on my face and then he put the hammer up, so I knew the guy was serious," Saad says. "I tried to calm him down, and I tried to calm myself down."
