SYRACUSE -- The flyover ramp from I-690 West to I-81 South will be closed beginning Saturday morning at 7 a.m. until next Saturday, November 17, at 5 p.m. The New York State Department of Transportation says the closure is required to perform bridge deck repairs on several areas of the one lane ramp.
There will be signs directing drivers to a detour. The NYSDOT says drivers should continue on 690 West to Geddes Street, turn left at the bottom of the ramp, then turn left again onto 690 East, where they will be able to get on 81 South.
Drivers should expect delays, especially during the morning and evening rush hours.
