Syracuse man robbed while walking home on Midland Ave. Sunday evening

SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police is investigating an armed robbery that occured after 6:00 p.m. on Midland Ave. on Sunday.

Police say a 55 year old man from Syracuse was walking home from the store around 6:15 p.m. on Midland Avenue near Kennedy Street, when he was approached by a suspect described as a black man, 30-35 years old, 5'7'' tall, medium build with a beard, wearing a brown coat and a baseball cap. Police say the suspect pulled a knife on the victim and took his cash. He was last seen running on foot on Furman Street towards South Salina Street.

The victim suffered a minor laceration on his hand, but refused medical treatment.

Anyone with information on this robbery is asked to contact Syracuse Police.
