TROY (NY) (AP) -- A general who served two tours in Iraq and was garrison commander at the U.S. Army's Fort Drum has been named to command New York's Army National Guard's 42nd Infantry Division.

Guard Brig. Gen. Harry Miller of Nashua, N.H., will replace Maj. Gen. Steven Wickstrom, a Massachusetts native who's led the Troy-based Rainbow Division since May 2009.

Miller is a former member of the New Hampshire Army National Guard. He's been deputy commander of the 10,500-member New York Army Guard since March. The 42nd has 20,000 soldiers in units in New York, Vermont, Massachusetts, New Jersey and New Hampshire.

Before that, he was on active duty with the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum outside Watertown.

Miller's civilian job is with the pharmaceutical company Pfizer Inc.
