Police say 27-year-old Frederick McCluskey abducted his 4-year-old son, also named Frederick, just before 9 a.m. Friday in the Ulster County town of Marlboro and has threatened to hurt himself or the child.

The alert says McCluskey is 6-feet-3-inches tall, with blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans. The boy is 4-feet tall, weighs 50 pounds and was wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. He has a small scar under his right eye.

Authorities say McCluskey was driving a red, 2-door 1989 Honda Civic hatchback with the New York plate FHX9276.

Anyone with information is asked to call 866-NYS-AMBER or 911.
