A Utica man is accused of sexually abusing a girl younger than 17.
Oneida County Sheriff's deputies say 24-year-old Andrew Vanmarter assaulted the girl back in 2007. He is charged with criminal ex act, a felony.
Vanmarter was arraigned in Utica City Court and sent to the Oneida County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 bail.
The victim is being offered counseling services through the Child Advocacy Center.
