SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police say a man robbed the same Rite Aid Pharmacy twice in 24 hours.

Police say at 9:35 Saturday morning, Robert Austin, 54, of Syracuse walked into Rite Aid Pharmacy at 401 W. Seneca Turnpike and handed a female clerk a robbery note saying "this is a hold up." The clerk gave the suspect money, but as Austin was leaving the store he was apprehended by the store manager who made him return to the store. The manager held Austin until Syracuse Police arrived and took him into custody.

Police say Austin is the same person who robbed the same Rite Aid at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, in both cases handing the cashier a note.

Austin is lodged in Onondaga County Justice Center pending his arraignment in Syracuse City Court on Sunday, November 25.
