SYRACUSE -- Supporters of 3 month old Easton Friedel "Baby Easton," of Weedsport will host a fundraiser Wednesday, December 5 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Palace Theatre in Syracuse.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Friedel family to help offset ongoing medical care and expenses.

Easton Friedel was born Aug. 23 in Auburn with a rare skin disease known as Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). EB is a rare genetic skin disorder affecting 1 out of 50,000 births. In this condition, Easton's skin is so fragile that the slightest friction, minor injury, heat, rubbing or scratching causes severe and painful blistering inside and outside his body.

CNYcentral was there  earlier this week when Easton came home rfom treatment at a hospital in Ohio. Admission to the fundraiser is $15 per person, or $25 per couple. Children 12 and under are free. Hors d'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available.

According to a news release about the event:

Syracuse-based recording artist "Just Joe" will perform live during the event. The event will also include a large silent auction with unique items and services donated by some of the premier businesses in Central New York.   The event is hosted by Valued Industry Partners, a group of young professionals in Central New York organized to promote the growth of their respective businesses through personal and business connections while giving back to the community.
