SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police are investigating a shooting that happened last night at 12:35am at a large party at 1502 W. Onondaga St.
Police say the victim was 16 year-old Mikayla Turner of Liverpool.
A large fight broke out between two groups and ended with shots being fired, according to police.
Turner was shot in the back and shoulder and was taken to Upstate University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say Turner was inside the house when she was shot, but they believe the gun was fired from outside.
The only suspect at this time is a man in his late teens or early twenties with a slim build.
