ONEIDA COUNTY -- In just one day, 90 more cases of the flu have been reported in Oneida County. That brings the total number of cases of the flu to 1,131 as of Tuesday afternoon.

Monday afternoon Oneida County was reporting 1,041 cases and Onondaga was reporting 406. There weren't any reported cases this time last year. This year's flu outbreak is already being called one of the worst in decades.

Health experts are encouraging everyone to get a flu shot to help prevent even more cases being reported. Flu shots are being offered all this week at Syracuse's Oncenter during the Christmas bureau registration.
