SYRACUSE -- One block of South Warren Street between East Fayette and East Washington Streets will be closed Friday morning starting at midnight.
Drivers are being advised to take alternate routes, such as Salina or State Street Friday morning, to avoid the closure.
The closure is due to crane work on the new downtown housing development Merchant Commons. Crews will be using a crane to place elevator equipment, steel, and other building materials on the roof.
The work is expected to be completed by noon on Friday.
