SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police responded to a suspicious person call December 22nd at 11:00pm on the 400 block of Rowland Street. Police received a call saying that there were three men standing on the street, and one of them had a handgun.

Officers responded to the call and saw the three men standing in front of 403 Rowland Street. The men ran away when they saw the officers, but were caught after a short chase.

After investigating the scene, police found a loaded 357 magnum revolver.

Police say 17-year-old Romeo Williams of Syracuse had pointed the gun at another man during an argument, which led to the call.

Williams was charged with menacing in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree for that incident.

Williams is set to be arraigned today. The other two men were released without being charged.
