Syracuse man shot on East Fayette Street

SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police say they are investigating a shooting that happened around 12:55 a.m. Thursday on East Fayette Street.

Police say the victim, 23-year-old Anthony Veasley, was shot in the buttocks as he was walking on the sidewalk in front of 1813 East Fayette Street, near the intersection with Westcott Street.  The shots came from a tan vehicle that was moving westbound on East Fayette Street.

Police say Veasley was unable to provide any further information on the suspects or the vehicle.

Veasley was taken to Upstate University Hospital with a non life threatening injury.
