OGDENSBURG (AP) -- An ex-convict is back in jail after authorities say he spray-painted obscenities on three police cars belonging to a northern New York department.

The Watertown Daily Times reports that 45-year-old James Fisher Jr. of Potsdam was arrested early Wednesday morning outside the Ogdensburg Police Department.

In addition to damaging two marked patrol cruisers and an unmarked police car, authorities say Fisher also broke the windows on another city-owned car and poured sugar into its gas tank.

The charges against Fisher include criminal mischief, making graffiti and resisting arrest. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges and is being held without bail in the St. Lawrence County Jail.

Fisher was arrested earlier this week after a domestic-related incident. He has two prior felony convictions and was released from state custody in June.
